Shine magazine UK – travel, health, beauty and so much more…

Shine magazine UK – an digital magazine all about inspired living… edited by Collette Walsh

So pleased to share that my magazine Shine! continues to grow…

Shine magazine Collette WalshA few years ago I developed my own digi-mag or ‘blogazine’ called Shine! Magazine UK. It’s a combination of feature articles, news and blogs. Shine! has really grown a fab following on social media and we are getting great traffic. I’ve built up an excellent relationship with the best travel PRs and agencies and, unlike hobby bloggers, I do my research, follow-up leads and give locations accurate and fair reviews.

I also write impartially (and unpaid!) and not simply because I’ve been offered a complimentary trip or product. I make a point of writing if I feel compelled to review about a good (or bad) experience. The travel media industry needs that approach more and more in a world saturated by unqualified writers/bloggers.

Spa & wellness destinations:

LOW Marbella Estrella del Mar 1I have developed a niche for health and beauty travel reviews too – made all the more readable I hope thanks to being a trained Holistic Therapist and health journalist for the nationals. I love trialling new spas and treatments and meeting the people behind these new concepts. I also have a strong passion for natural and organic health experiences – locations with eco credentials always get a thumbs up!

Luxury & wedding/honeymoons destinations:

With my background as wedding writer for OK! and others, I specialise in writing about luxury and wedding destinations. Check these out here: http://shinemagazine.co.uk/category/travel/luxury-travel/

Hotel reviews:

I do a regular hotel review in the UK and overseas. Additionally, I am often commissioned by travel PRs and hotel groups to be a mystery guest and to write a review of my experience – noting the hotel or resort’s standards in customer relations, cleanliness, staff interaction, dining quality and I give a feedback report (later meeting the staff and teams face to face to share my findings and compliments!).
