This week I am busily genning up on a host of great travel books. Sometimes I have to pinch myself at how much fun my job is!
Yep, starting next Thursday I will be recording a series for Sky 284 (Holiday and Cruise Channel) called The Travel Book Club. It combines two of my main passions – travel and reading!
With a panel of guests, I will be discussing what makes a great travel book companion and we’ll be focusing on a different book each week.
Here’s the latest list:
Billy Bryson – Down Under
Dave Gorman – America Unchained
Rory Stewart – The Places in Between
Tim Moore – You Are Awful (But I Like You): Travels Through Unloved Britain
Every one of these is a FAB read and I am delighted to have the pleasure of re-reading most and highlighting the best bits (and the parts myself and the panel found especially useful as seasoned travellers) on the forthcoming shows.
Okay, so if you are a book lover and enjoy disappearing off to foreign lands and magical destinations far and wide, from the comfort of your armchair (!) do tune in… as soon as I get the on-air dates and times, I will add them here on my site.
Thanks and bon voyage x
