BBC Breakfast chat on the EMMY nominations – Collette Walsh

emmyCollette Walsh – BBC Breakfast – 11 July 2014. Busy old week with Friday including a chat on the famous red sofa at BBC Breakfast (BBC1). We were talking about the American EMMY award nominations and this year there is a wealth of British acting and TV/film writing talent up for several gongs.

It’s great news for the British TV industry that our talented actors and drama series have been embraced over in the states in the way they have.

A personal favourite is Fargo actor Martin Freeman who is up for Outstanding Actor and he is a worthy nominee. His performance in Fargo was brilliant.

As usual, Downtown Abbey is up for lots of awards and I hope this year that Yorkshire-born actress Joanne Frogatt goes home with one of the impressive gold awards – she deserves it.
