Parklife Weekender 2014 – Manchester is Ready to Party – World Class Line-Up & Over 30 After-Parties

Excitment is mounting here in Manchester as over 40,000 music fans head to the city’s Heaton Park today for the start of the ‘Parklife Weekender’ festival.

snoop doggIt’s not surprising there’s such a buzz in the air – the line-up is world class with US superstar rapper Snoop Dogg headlining tonight along with a host of other top names, including Katy B, Rudimental, Annie Mac and Bipolar Sunshine.

The festival site includes several stages jam-packed with great artists and DJs – the only issue will be getting round to see them all.

Sunday (8 June) brings several of the year’s best and most talked about British indie bands including Foals (headlining) and Bastille plus, trip-hop outfit London Grammar who will also be on the main stage.

In fact, the overall line-up is oozing a truly impressive list of almost 200 artists and top DJs. And, as if that’s not enough, the festival now boasts Afterlife – the BEST array of after-show parties, DJ sets and venues for a truly unforgettable weekend experience.

I’m told that among the Afterlife line-up will be Jamie Jones, Eats Everything, David Rodigan, Ben UFO B2B Midland and Nina Kraviz – who are all set to take over several Manchester bars and clubs. Check out the full details here: www.afterlifemcr.com

It all sounds like a logistical nightmare but rest assured everything (except the weather) is under control and looking good.

Talking of the weather… defo bring your wellies for Saturday and possibly your shades for Sunday.

Anyway, come rain or shine we know how to party in Manchester… Parklife Weekender, bring it on!
